Since the 1980s, a new field―Animal History―has emerged in Western historiography, examining the interactions and coexistence between humans and animals, and foregrounding the vital roles animals have played in shaping human societies. This exhibition begins with an ontological inquiry into “animal” and “human”: only by rethinking the silenced and the oppressed can we enter a posthuman horizon. Here, animals are no longer biological objects, but carriers of histories long ignored, domesticated, and excluded from narrative. This exhibition unfolds as a dialectical time of nature―a reckoning with the rationalist violence and anthropocentrism inherited from Enlightenment thought.

The installations and paintings, using queer theory and identity politics as a starting point, showcase neglected groups to the audience. The biological arrays in the installation art explore the post-human body and interspecies hybridization, discussing decentralization in post-human society. The prints, combined with historical symbols, discuss the self-exploration and expression of groups in contemporary life within a cultural context. The darkroom explores post-event thinking in human society and questions decentralizing violence.
