MaTa Art Collective is an artist-led contemporary art platform shaped by multiple cultural backgrounds.
Our nomadic way of making exhibitions grows out of the members' own experiences of migration and cultural movement. Through moving between places and encountering different contexts, a shared way of working slowly formed.

As a welcome to the black tent, we borrow a line from Gilles Deleuze's A Thousand Plateaus:
"The nomad's space is smooth space."
MaTa invites artists to enter into dialogue and collaboration. Through open calls, we hope to keep ideas in motion-allowing works, cultures, and perspectives to meet, cross paths, and unfold within a wider space.
